The 2027 Tax Free World Exhibition & Conference closed yesterday, with a slew of important news in its wake.

The major associations were particularly active.

Among the biggest stories impacting the Americas was the announcement of the rebranding of the six-decade old International Association of Airport & Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) as the Travel Retail Alliance of the Americas, with an updated, more inclusive mandate as it adapts to the evolving world of today’s travel retail business. The newly named group also announced the venue for the 2027 Summit of the Americas. Page 1.

South American Duty Free Association ASUTIL announced that the 2027 Conference will take place in Panama in June. See more details on pages 1-2.

TFWA renewed its partnership with the City of Cannes to remain in that location for the Tax Free World Exhibition & Conference for at least the next three years. The Association also announced its new Management Committee and Board. Page 2.
