For more than 80 years, the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) has worked to combat deep-rooted obstacles to higher educational access, achievement, and career success, annually providing financial and educational support to 37 historically Black colleges and universities and more than 50,000 students attending over 1,100 institutions across the United States.
In honor of our shared commitment to making a difference in our schools, families and communities, BCPS and UNCF are collaborating to create a UNCF scholarship fund specifically for BCPS students. Our BCPS campaign runs throughout the year, and we invite you to join us in making a difference using this form: Baltimore County Public Schools Workplace Giving Donation Form - UNCF.
Your support is critical. Employee donations like yours are the third largest source of unrestricted dollars for our students, changing the life trajectory of underserved students by providing funds for tuition, room and board, books, and other needs. To learn more, please watch this video.
Anything that you can give, no matter how big or small, will have an impact. You can be the difference and help change the life trajectory for students. Thank you!

Save the date! Mind Over Matters Conference set for April 6, 2027
BCPS will host its annual Mind Over Matter Conference on Tuesday, April 6, 2027. The goal of this event is to raise awareness about the importance of children’s mental health and substance use prevention.
The student event will be held from 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., at Medstar Franklin Square Hospital Conference Center. The event will include a keynote speaker, breakout sessions, and a vendor fair.
Due to space limitations, only 3 students from each middle and high school will be able to attend. We are asking principals to identify a point of contact who will coordinate the identification of the students that will be attending. Additionally, the point of contact will assist the students in registering for the event and selecting which workshop they want to attend. It is the expectation that the students who are selected to attend must bring the information back to their schools. The point of contact can serve as the chaperone for the event or designate another staff member to chaperone. Please complete this form to identify your school’s point of contact.
Additional details about the event are forthcoming and will be shared in future Principals’ Weekly and News Hub Announcements.
