Adapting to Life Transitions
Friday, April 5th
2:30pm - 4pm
Del Mar Community Building
|
DMCC's support group provides seniors with resources for living life to the fullest while adapting to the aging process. Connect with peers in this discussion group, which provides exercises to challenge ideas and beliefs that make it more difficult to adapt to change. This month's theme is
Mindful Aging: Finding Meaning in the Second Half of Life.
"The essence of a human being is resistant to the passage of time. Our inner lives are eternal, which is to say that our spirits remain as youthful and vigorous as when we were in full bloom." (Gabriel Garcia Marquez)
Facilitated by licensed Marriage and Family Therapists Katie Militello and Denise O'Neil, this group is open to seniors and their adult children who are interested in sharing their experiences for the benefit of all. An RSVP isn't required, but is appreciated; please call (858) 792-7565 or email
katiem@coherenceassociates.com
to let us know you are planning to attend or to inquire about this program.
