Message from the Treasurer
As of September 30th, we have completed the first quarter of our fiscal year!
Pledge status reports were distributed at Sunday’s service — or will be mailed to those who were not present. Your report confirms your pledge amount for the current fiscal year (July–June), summarizes contributions received since July 1st, and outlines the many ways you can make financial contributions to FUSW.
In January, we will prepare and send the Annual Giving Report for tax purposes, reflecting all contributions received during calendar year 2026. We know the two reporting periods can feel a bit confusing — please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!
Going forward, quarterly pledge status reports will be sent only to members who do not have a recurring payment set up and appear to be behind schedule — a small step toward reducing paper and administrative time.
Thank you for all the ways you give and share in this community.
Contact me with any questions or concerns.
Grateful for all we share,
Susan Greenberg
FUSW Treasurer

New York State Supports Immigrants: New York State’s Ban on 287(g) Agreements Focuses Local Law Enforcement on Local Crimes
Governor Hochul's latest press release addresses the "Local Cops, Local Crimes" provision, keeping locally funded police focused on community safety rather than federal immigration enforcement. Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins expressed strong support, emphasizing that immigrant community trust in local police strengthens public safety for all. Read the full release here.
Additionally, Attorney General Letitia James' office offers a Federal Action Reporting Form to report federal government actions in New York State, or call 1-800-771-7755.
