An Invitation to House Churches
St. Columba's is launching a new worship opportunity, and we'd love for you to be involved! Very simply, the new initiative is to ask members of the parish to host small groups for prayer and fellowship
in their backyard. We imagine that this may be no more complicated than a small group of people sitting outside at an appropriate distance reading a scripture passage, listening to a sermon, saying a few prayers, and sharing in the Eucharist. Visit our new
House Churches webpage
to learn how you may engage in this small group worship.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
"Understanding and Superabundance"
The Rev. Dr. Joshua Daniel
Sunday Sermon, July 12, 2020
"What characterizes understanding? What accounts for it? Not a type of understanding that is about talking points or a rote memory, but a deep understanding. One that grounds us, that transforms our identity. One that we carry us with us for a long time."

Homeless Initiative: $30K in 30 Days
We are not yet “out of the woods” with COVID-19. Our most vulnerable neighbors will continue to face food, utility and housing insecurities, but due to your generosity, we can extend the much needed assistance. We will continue to grow the St. Columba’s Security Fund beyond our original goal of $30,000, and allow families access to assistance past the summer months. Parents will not have to choose between getting groceries, paying the utility bill, or having a roof over their family’s head. The St. Columba’s Security Fund will answer their urgent needs.
Watch our video and learn more.
If you have not yet made a contribution, please make your
online contribution
today! Click
here
and select the "Homeless Initiative" fund, or mail your check to the parish office, with "Homeless Initiative" in the memo line
.
If you have already given ...
Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for your compassion. Thank you for Living God’s Love!
