Important Reminders for Successful Fraternal Leaders

Fraternal Training

  • Visit kofc.org/training to locate online training for state, council, district and assembly officers. These training sessions are available on demand, and the average length is only 30 minutes! Suggested Training by Officer Role is a great place to get started.

Evangelization and Faith Formation

Check out what's new:

  • Into the Breach: The Dignity of Work: This compelling five-episode series exploring the Catholic vision of man’s mission in the world and the nature of work is now available. Great resource to use in Cor.
  • Vivat Jesus Spiritual Planner 2026: A prayer guide and calendar for 2026, featuring monthly devotionals, ideas for celebrating the saints and important feast days, the Supreme Chaplain’s monthly challenges, and more.
  • The Gospel of Life Cor Study Guide: Our newest addition to the Cor Ecclesiae Series, this study guide explores Pope St. John Paul II’s historic 1995 encyclical Evangelium Vitae and his call to build a “culture of life.”

District Deputy

  • Encourage councils to appoint a nominating committee to recommend officers for the next fraternal year. Have the committee look beyond the usual volunteers to find a good mix of candidates representing fresh ideas and sound council practices.
  • Check on the progress of each of your councils towards earning the Star Council Award. Work with the field agent to conduct a Fraternal Benefit Event.
  • Help your councils plan a Spring Church drive and then conduct a district Exemplification of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity.

Grand Knight

Financial Secretary

  • Council Assessments Due - The Per Capita, Catholic Advertising and Culture of Life levies are due to the Supreme Council before April 10 to avoid suspension. A suspended council may not be seated at their state convention, nor are its members eligible to be delegates to the Supreme Council Meeting and Convention. Your council assessment bill can be found in Officers Online on the “Reports” tab.
  • If your council accounting period ends December 31, then May 15 is the deadline to submit the proper IRS Form 990 (US Councils only). Ensure that this paperwork is filed.

Less Than Two Weeks Left to Qualify - Join ASAP Council Incentive

As a reminder, councils that exemplify 3 members between February 1 and March 31 AND donate at least $500 through the ASAP program any time during the 2025-26 fraternal year will receive an additional $250 for the pregnancy resource center or maternity home they supported.

The top 10 councils recruiting the most members will receive an additional $750! Full details on the incentive can be found here.

With less than two weeks left to qualify we encourage all councils who have not yet met the membership criteria to focus on recruiting through the end of March, and to let prospects know that by joining now they can directly help earn funds for local pregnancy resource centers.

  • Visit the Supply Store for new pieces you can download to aid you in recruitment, including the Join ASAP Postcard - Item 11943
  • Or check out the asset library for social media graphics you can use to promote ASAP and highlight the impact a man can make by joining your local council!
