PLANNING OUR FUTURE TOGETHER

NEW SURVEY RELEASED ON FUTURE PLANNING IN NAMPA

Comprehensive Plans are a critical planning tool that shapes how Nampa grows, develops and preserves what matters most. From land use and housing to transportation and parks, the Comprehensive Plan will serve as a roadmap for city leaders, developers, and residents to ensure a vibrant, resilient and inclusive future. Because it's so important, this is a three-year process.

Last year, Nampa's Planning & Zoning staff began the process by spending hundreds of hours through the summer and fall meeting with YOU - our community - at events, in public spaces, and in classrooms to discuss what you wanted Nampa to be 25 years from now.

We took that feedback to several focus groups and steering committee meetings and developed a series of objectives and strategies to implement your vision for the future.

Now it's your turn to make sure we're on the right track.

Please review the objectives and strategies shared in this survey and help us refine the plan with your feedback. We know your time is precious and that the community cares how we grow in the future. Thank you for being part of this important planning process.

Please feel free to visit our website: cityofnampa.us/2050 for more information, or you may email us at PZLR@cityofnampa.us.

VALUING OUR WATER RESOURCES

turn off the tap - running water while brushing/shaving? Keep it off when not in use

Be Waterwise:

It's a Limited Water Year!

Small steps can have big impacts!

Best practices like upgrading to more efficient water fixtures, checking for leaks, turning off the tap while brushing, and running full loads of laundry or dishes can reduce your household's water usage.

Responsible water usage will positively impact our community for generations to come. Let’s all be waterwise.

IMPROVING MOVEMENT IN AND THRU NAMPA

Excavator pours pipe bedding into a trench box while worker get ready to measure depth for Ustick Road project

Ustick Road Widening Project Update

Crews were hard at work Wednesday morning installing underground utilities in the southern half of the Star and Ustick intersection. As part of the Ustick Road Widening Project, which stretches from Phyllis Canal to Owyhee Storm, the contractor is currently laying down pipe bedding, installing 16-inch domestic waterline and then compacting the trench that runs through the intersection.

Please note that the southern half of the intersection will remain closed until August 22 to complete the installation of underground utilities.

When complete, Ustick Road will feature two lanes in each direction, along with multi-use side paths on each side of the road, enhancing safety and accessibility for all.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our community’s infrastructure!
