MUSIC MINISTRY

The Opening Hymn: O Day of Radiant Gladness Christopher Wordsworth, Anglican priest, wrote voluminously on the Bible and church history in addition to his hymn writing. This hymn is from his Holy Year, 1862.

The Prayer Response: Eternal Spirit of the Living Christ.

The Middle Hymn: Servant Song set to the tune, BEACH SPRING.

The Anthem: God of Grace and God of Glory by Paul Langston.

The Communion Anthem: The Lord's Prayer by Albert malotte. Sung by Naomi Kilpatrick, mezzo soprano.

The Closing Hymn: God, Whose Giving Knows No Ending Robert L. Edwards, an ordained United Church of Christ minister, has served several churches in Connecticut. He wrote this text for a competition of The Hymn Society, and it was subsequently published in Ten New Stewardship Hymns in 1961.

PEACE

You have survived life-threatening, life-altering crisis and challenge to prove only one point: that you can and have survived! Be at peace with the way you proved the point.

FAITH

What you make in your own mind is what you put your faith into just to prove to yourself that what you believe is correct.

UNDERSTANDING

In all relationships, regardless of their nature, there comes the moment when you understand that there are some things you will never understand. When you are standing in that moment, just be all right with it.

FOREGIVENESS

Forgiveness is not something you do, it is a state of being that when offered brings forth the truth of who you are.

LIFE

If there is a day you have eaten until you are full; if there is a time of joy you can recall; if you have escaped even once the clutches of death; if you can remember one or all of the above, then you have something to be grateful for.
