The agent:

  • Enrolls the member
  • Completes an HRA with a member at the time of enrollment
  • Instructs the member they must contact Member Services to request SSCBI benefits, emphasizing that SSBCI is not available unless they are approved for it
  • Gives member contact information for Member Services

The Member Services team:

  • Activates the cards
  • Can view the balances for each allowance ​
  • Can check the purchase totals, locations, and decline reasons ​
  • Can confirm card mailing status ​
  • Issues a replacement card ​
  • Handles members' requests for SSBCI benefits and routes them to Case Management for an assessment
