We recognize that last season came with its share of challenges, but our incredible community kept the spirit strong, and we’re looking forward to an amazing season ahead. Just two seasons ago, we were grooming trails from December to early May—testament to the dedication of our groomers and our amazing trails. This season promises to be full of fantastic club events, well maintained trails, and a welcoming community ready to make every moment memorable.

We’ve already crossed the 1,000-member milestone, so by registering early, you not only lock in the best rates, but you'll also be entered into upcoming prize draws, including the chance to win your 2024-25 season pass (to be drawn on November 10).

Prefer to skip credit card fees? Feel free to stop by the rental office (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) to pay with cash or cheque.

Registration is OPEN!!

We are always excited to announce that registration for our Skills Development Program is officially open! This season, we’re moving our weeknight session to Wednesday evenings, allowing our club athletes to assist with coaching and inspire our younger skiers to develop their skills and passion for the sport.

While we know this change is new, and there may be a few adjustments in this first season, we’re committed to supporting all families and are offering a Jackrabbit Saturday-only option. We still encourage the full two-day program to maximize skill-building and fun on the trails, but we want to be flexible and offer options that work best for each family.

With our growing numbers, we also need enthusiastic parent coaches to help lead our programs. No need to be a top skier – the best coaches are those who bring positive energy and love for our Nordic community! For new coaches, we’ll be hosting a Community Coaching Course at the club from December 13-15 to equip you with everything you need to succeed. Join us in shaping the next generation of skiers and building a strong community on the snow!

Welcoming the New Season at Caledonia Nordic Ski Club!

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) officially marks the start of a new season for our Board and club. Thank you to everyone who considered standing, those who stood for election, and to our dedicated nomination committee for their hard work.

Our first Board meeting will be held on November 4th. Former Board members will be joining us to share key information and insights, ensuring a seamless transition for the new leadership team.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors, and donors who continue to make a difference across every part of the club. Your support is invaluable to our community.

Thank you to the 54 members who attended the AGM. Draft minutes will be posted soon, and the website will be updated with the latest information. In the meantime, we are excited to introduce your new Board:

We are thrilled by the responses coming in for our 2023/24 Membership Survey! Your feedback is essential in helping us improve and shape the future of Caledonia Nordic Ski Club.

• Assess our current services
• Recognize areas of strength and pinpoint opportunities for improvement
• Address the evolving needs of our community (e.g., population growth, climate change)
• Guide new strategic priorities based on your input

Please take a few moments to complete the survey if you haven’t yet—it will remain open until 11:45 pm on October 31, 2024. We may extend this deadline slightly to ensure we gather as many responses as possible, but encourage early participation.

The Board will review and compile the results, and we look forward to sharing a summary with members by December 31, 2024.
