Fall festival, is a great success!

Pumpkin carving, face painting and admiring fall colors made for a perfect day in the arboretum. Laney Marcotte from Audubon brought two beautiful owls so that visitors could learn about the importance of our native bird species.

Irrigation project under way

The irrigation project has been in the works for almost five years. Installation is now in full swing. The garden remains open so please come for a visit.

Staff Note

This fall, the Wakefield Arboretum is a mosaic of vibrant colors, transforming the landscape as warm days and cool nights have allowed the leaves to linger a little longer on the trees. As daylight dwindles, the shifting light creates shadows and shapes, revealing a rapidly evolving landscape daily as leaves gracefully fall. Visitors and school groups alike enjoy the gardens expressing awe at the stunning display of the three flower maple, a true marvel. We invite you to experience this natural wonder for yourself—come for a visit or register for one of our many upcoming events.
