Last week, I attended a Combat Antisemitism Conference, which marked a significant moment of unity among mayors from across the United States in the fight against rising antisemitism. The discussions centered on a commitment to proactive leadership, community engagement, educational efforts, and enhanced security measures to ensure the safety and dignity of Jewish community members. The mayors represented over 200 municipalities from around the country, from both sides of the aisle, along with civil rights advocates, students, and organizations from all the major religious faiths. Those present at the conference pledged to use their positions of authority to not only condemn antisemitism but also to create lasting, systemic changes that will promote a more inclusive and tolerant society. |
