AUTUMN TRENDS

Tis the season to get cosy with tantalising textures and snuggle worthy style. But, why bother?

With a change in seasons, there's a moment to reflect and prepare for the colder months that naturally create a slower and more sombre mood. Refreshing your home, by changing out accessories, will give you a boost of energy and that feeling of being nurtured.

It's a hug from your home.

So, let's look at simple and effective ways to energise your space and lift your mood.

Adding cushions in soft tactile fabrics is a great way to style up your room in Autumn. Like these cushions, you could combine different textures in a coordinating colour palette.

I'm seeing quite a few retro style chairs in faux fur fabric at the moment. That's definitely a hug and a half. Only problem is, you won't want to get up because it's soooo comfortable.

If you have an old favourite chair that's looking a bit worn out, consider having it recovered in boucle or furry fabric. There's just enough time before the festive season. You can then sit in comfort with a mulled wine and mince pie. That sounds great to me.

I'm loving this large vase and it's on my list for a client in London. As a neutral colour it can be used anywhere and will look fab in a bathroom, as a feature on a shelf, or as a statement on a console table. I can imagine it filled with colourful seasonal flowers, looking absolutely gorgeous.

If you don't like flowers, how about adding foliage or a plant to your vase. It creates a lovely centrepiece, even when your dining table isn't set for a meal.

Refreshing your room is as easy as taking inspiration from the colour of the trees, with Autumn colours of rust, green and mustard looking gorgeous.
