OAKLAND COUNTY, MI (June 25, 2024) – Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) is pleased to announce the selection of Trisha Zizumbo, MSA, CHES®, as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Under the direction of OCHN’s Executive Director and CEO, Dana Lasenby, Zizumbo will lead OCHN’s operations, programs, and administrative services. As part of the executive leadership team, Zizumbo will play a vital role in shaping and advancing the organization’s goals, mission, and future.

“Since Trisha joined OCHN in 2018, she has actively engaged with providers and community partners to identify ways in which OCHN can collaborate with county leaders and residents,” said OCHN’s Executive Director and CEO, Dana Lasenby. She is a true asset to OCHN, and we’re thrilled to have her leading our operations division,” added Lasenby.

Zizumbo joined OCHN in October 2018 as the Director of Training and her role soon expanded as she added OCHN’s Justice Initiatives to her Director umbrella. In addition to overseeing two departments, she has led several initiatives to enhance OCHN’s mission and vision, such as the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) workgroup, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training, Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM), and more. Zizumbo had been serving as Interim COO since late April 2024.

Prior to joining OCHN, Zizumbo worked for the Oakland County Health Division, Oakland County Children’s Village, and Ionia County Health Department. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) and part-time faculty at Wayne State University. Zizumbo holds a Master of Administration (MSA) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Education and Spanish, both from Central Michigan University.
