5K 4 the Kids is back and better than ever!
Last year, our amazing BGCAA supporters helped us raise over $70,000 during BGCAA’s inaugural 5K for the Kids, which helped support Great Futures for all kids in Austin during a time when they needed it most.

Running groups from around the Austin-area, community supporters, local celebrities, and our amazing BGCAA supporters came together and accepted the challenge for the kids. This summer, we are bringing back the 5K4Kids challenge and inviting you to keep the streak going for the kids. Get active with your family, friends, and colleagues for a great cause. We promise, this year it is bigger and better than ever!

Teen Summer Takeover
Teens take over BGCAA's social media to show an insider look to Club!
Our Youth Arts Initiative (YAI) Teens took over our BGCAA social media channels and showcased their talents in the digital world. Members of the YAI program took on the challenge of creating content for our BGCAA official social media pages. The talented teens captured photographs around the Club, edited photos, directed and produced videos, and planned a full campaign during the 2021 Teen Summer Takeover. The team was able to get hands-on experience working in a team and meeting deadlines which was a great learning experience for the teens involved. The results of this takeover? An amazing insider look to what Club really is from the perspective of Club Members.

Juneteenth Celebration at BGCAA
"What Freedom Means to Me"
After a week of curriculum from PBS and Learning for Justice Foundation, Club members across BGC locations learned about the importance of Freedom Day and commemorated the newest federal holiday, Juneteenth. Club members shared thoughts and journal entries with the theme “What Freedom Means to Me” and participated in group conversations about the importance of history and the significance of achieving freedom for all. The celebrations culminated at Home Club with a fun-filled community day of fun activities, delicious food, and music.
