Trolley Time Blog

Introducing the Trolley Time Blog

The blog was launched in response to our extended closure due to the 2020 COVID-19 (Novel coronavirus) pandemic.

Through this blog, our education staff will be posting do-it-yourself crafts and activities for children, video story time and other family friendly content. These posts will be supplemented with "virtual exhibits" that contain antique artifacts, old photographs and/or videos related to transit and railroads and the museum.

Posts are tagged by their relevance: either "Children's Activities", "Museum History", "Virtual Exhibits" or "Misc.". We recommend you subscribe to Trolley Time to receive email updates whenever we post new content. Please click the "Subscribe" button on the left side of the main blog page.

Our volunteer staff is updating the blog regularly with new and exciting content, and we hope you find it entertaining. We welcome your suggestions and input.

Thank You for Donating to TTC 4603!
Thank you to our donors to the recent Power2Give campaign and to the Montgomery County Government for matching funds to rebuild the trucks (wheel sets) for TTC 4603.

The combined gifts totaled $20,000 to underwrite this project.

The photo on the left illustrates the general condition of the motors and truck frame. Click here for a more detailed report about this project.
