Celebrating Georgian's new Schulich Builders

Georgian College is proud to welcome its third cohort of 10 Schulich Builders in 2026. These exceptional students are pursuing careers in the skilled trades with support from The Schulich Foundation.

The Schulich Builders Scholarships for Skilled Trades provide $20,000 for one-year certificate programs and $40,000 for two-year diploma programs, helping students cover tuition, tools and living expenses.

Since the program launched at Georgian in 2024, 30 students across more than a dozen skilled trades programs have received scholarships. With graduates from the first cohort now working in the skilled trades, the program is already helping build the next generation of professionals contributing to Ontario's communities and industries.

Throughout November, Georgian recognizes several important days of significance, creating opportunities for our community to learn, reflect and build awareness. These include Treaties Recognition Week, International Inuit Day, Indigenous Veterans Day, Rock Your Mocs Week, Remembrance Day, Transgender Day of Remembrance and the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Recognizing these days reflects Georgian's ongoing commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging, and to creating a community where everyone feels seen, heard and knows they belong.
