The crops now have extra space and sun to thrive!

As a nonprofit community farm, volunteers are vital to fulfilling Land's Sake's mission. Last week, our lean, hardworking farm crew put out a call for some extra support, and the community responded to help weed the sweet potato, scallion (see before and after pics below!), and leek fields, as well as harvest radishes, kale, and collards.

If getting your hands dirty and working with great people appeals to you, the Volunteer Brigade gathers Thursdays from 10am-12pm through October to help with various fieldwork tasks. Register to be notified of weekly Volunteer Brigade projects.

This Thursday we are looking for volunteers to help with parking during our for our Family Farm Night event, 5-8pm. Volunteers should be 18+. If interested, please email Violet.

FARM

Pick Your Own Update

The farm is absolutely gorgeous! Our secondary flower field is bursting with color and now open for picking flowers including Celosia, Zinnias, Gomphrena, and Sunflowers. Pick your own herbs include sage, chives, thyme, and oregano. Pick your own beans will open to the public this Saturday, 7/26. Stop by the farmstand during business hours to get started.

FREE EVENT

Final Family Farm Night This Thursday, 5-8 pm

Gather family, friends, and some picnic blankets or chairs, and enjoy the final family farm night of the season this Thursday, 5-8pm. We'll have live music, local food, farm animals, fun activities, ice cream, and more! All ages welcome. This is a FREE event, happening rain or shine. No registration required.

Join us for a rejuvenating evening of yoga, sound healing, reiki, flower crown making, infusions and teas, live dance performance and more. Drinks and light refreshments included, but you are also welcome to BYO. Tarot card reading available. Get your tickets today!

Feeding Both Body & Spirit

When the Weston COA van pulls up, there are lots of smiles and hugs as the older adults arrive, many using walkers and canes. This partnership with the COA eases challenges many older adults now face - food insecurity and loneliness. Weekly vouchers provide recipients with not only the fresh produce needed for a healthy diet, but also social time. The program has tripled to 63 recipients in 2025, with a waitlist of even more older adults seeking support.
