Program Fees help to pay for buses, trips, uniforms and other supplies that support the students and the program.
2021-2022 Fees
Annual fee for band, orchestra or choir: $155 (one-time fee if in multiple groups)
Jazz I = $200
Jazz II = $100
Percussion = $50
Fiddle = $200
Camp fees:
Band Camp - $45
Orchestra Camp - $65
Choir Camp - $65
Note: Camp fees are typically $180-$200 to cover the costs of overnight lodging, meals, and coaching. Due to the shift to day camps this year, we don’t have lodging or as many meal expenses, and camp fees are lower. Also, a huge thank you to John Aguilar, All City Band Assistant Director, UW Marching Band Assistant Director and Director of Bands at Robert Eagle Staff Middle School for donating his time to train section leaders for band camp.
ASB Card: $35 (band students only, to get into games)

Scholarships Are Available
It is our goal for all families to participate regardless of financial situation. If you need partial or full help paying for these fees, scholarships are available.

Don’t Miss Uniform Fittings Through Sept. 10
|
|
Everyone in music programs needs to be fitted for uniforms. For concert wear, students can choose from dresses or tuxes. All band students participate in marching band and must be fitted for marching band uniforms.
Fittings will be on the stage in the auditorium.
We absolutely need the assistance of section leaders to get these fittings accomplished as there are currently restrictions on volunteers inside the buildings.
Sign up here if you are a section leader for Band, Orchestra, and Choir. Pick a few shifts!

Band
Band Camp This Weekend!
Dates:
- Friday Sept 10 - 4-7pm @Ballard High
- Saturday - sectionals called at discretion of section leaders
- Sunday Sept 12 - 8:30am-5pm @Memorial Stadium
All students from Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Percussion join together to form the award-winning Ballard High School Marching Band. This group performs at football and basketball games, pep assemblies, and parades. The year starts off right away with several marching band dates, including “band camp” and football games. BHS Marching Band includes ALL band students.
All students are expected to participate in camp as it creates the foundation for Ballard High's award winning Marching Band. There will be a fee of $45 to cover costs of student meals and scholarships will be provided if necessary.
Please complete this online form by TUESDAY EVENING so that we have an accurate counting for meal choices (a number of students have already done so - please check with your student to try and avoid duplicates).
Parents! You’re invited to watch the “Drilldown” at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 12 at Memorial Stadium-- a “Simon Says” type group exercise to see who has the most fine tuned marching band skills!
Official school permission forms should be going out Sept. 7 and should be returned by Sept. 9. Ask your kids about them!
