ITAI Webinar Series:

How AT Views the World Wide Web

Man with CCTV displaying large text

Wednesday, Sept 16, 2026

1pm - 2pm EST

Assistive technologies such as screen readers and voice control offer greater ability to reach the digital space. But there's often misunderstanding of how they do so; those unfamiliar with how these tool work think that as long as a screen reader can "read" a page, that's enough.

But most of these tools rely on the web to match their programmatic meaning to their semantic meaning. This webinar will explain how AT interacts with a website and how an AT user may perceive and understand information differently than other users.
