eeAdvocacy Update:
Use your Voice to Support the Colorado Outdoor Equity Grant Program!
BILL UPDATE! HB21-1318 was introduced on May 14th! The bill will serve Colorado's underserved youth by connecting them with a variety of opportunities to explore and enjoy our state's great outdoors. Thank you to Senator Leroy Garcia and Representative Leslie Herod for sponsoring this important legislation! The bill passed in the house with a vote of 43-22. It is currently in the Senate. The bill passed out of the Senate Finance Committee. The next stop is in the Senate Appropriations Committee- before it goes back to the Senate floor for a vote.
Fill out this short form to ask your legislators to support HB21-1318 today.
We are also looking for organizations to endorse the Colorado LEAP Ballot Initiative. This initiative would provide funding for families to choose from a menu of approved out-of-school learning providers, including tutoring and career and technical education-training programs, AND environmental and outdoor learning programs like summer camps or after school programs.
