Necessity Pantry Ingathering tomorrow
Donations gratefully accepted

Tomorrow is our monthly in-gathering for the Necessity Pantry, a joint outreach ministry of the Episcopal Churches in eastern Jackson County, located at St. Michael's in Independence. Toiletry items are especially needed this month.

Over $500 has been contributed by Resurrection members so far this year. Thank you for your generosity!
Search Committee Update
Committee has interviewed 3 candidates

The Search Committee has received a total of four applications so far for the Rector position and has interviewed three of the applicants. Please pray for your Search Committee and Resurrection every day as we continue our discernment process for a new Rector.

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose the next Rector of Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for and love us and equip us for our various ministries; through Jesus Christ out Lord. Amen..

Vestry considering discontinuing the live streaming of our 8:00 am service on Sundays

At both the May and June meetings, the Vestry discussed possibly discontinuing the live streaming of our 8:00 am service on Sunday mornings. The reason is two-fold. First, on a typical Sunday only one or two people, if any, watch the service. Second, there is no dedicated person to man the video equipment and the job has fallen to Vaughn Scarcliff in addition to his responsibilities of being the choir director and playing the organ.
