Confident Connections: Elevating the Customer Service Experience is a two-part series in customer service is designed to equip participants with essential skills and techniques to enhance customer service interactions. Throughout the training, participants will learn, practice, and apply customer service techniques that aim to create a more enjoyable experience for all involved parties. The training will emphasize approaching customer needs with curiosity, encouraging participants to effectively explore concerns and issues before proposing solutions.

This course will unveil the benefits of storytelling and how to leverage stories in meetings, during one-on-ones, or while giving presentations to effectively land your message.

Objectives:

-Gain insight into the neurological effects of listening to stories.

-Recognize the superior impact of stories over data in delivering a message.

-Learn to craft compelling stories that resonate with various audiences.

-Practice storytelling in a fun and interactive way.

Franklin Covey’s 7 Habits helps employees apply timeless principles of effectiveness to improve interpersonal communication, take initiative, establish greater trust, strengthen relationships, increase influence, and balance key priorities.

This course will provide an overview of leadership effectiveness at the individual, team, and organizational levels. Learners will also participate in the 7 Habits Assessment, assigned prior to their attendance.

The Student Timekeeping Training is hosted by Payroll Services and will cover the student employee time reporting process, and the department’s roles and responsibilities. A demo will be provided in PeopleSoft HR. All timekeepers and approvers are welcome to join. Please note that training is required before timekeeper or approver access is granted in PeopleSoft HR.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) is a national campaign that takes place in October to raise awareness about domestic violence and honor survivors and victims.

In the U.S., nearly 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men experience severe intimate partner violence, creating lasting trauma that reaches far beyond the home. This epidemic devastates families, children, and communities, leaving countless survivors to suffer in silence.

This year’s campaign theme, #BreakTheCycle, will highlight how common DV is and that it is far more than physical abuse. Our awareness, actions, and support ARE the social change. Together, we can end the cycle.
