Thank you for signing up to be a member of the WILPF US Members Only Discussion Listserv.! The new listserv will be functioning, starting at 10 am EST on April 21.
The address to “post” (write to) this listserv is:
Every e-mail that is written is sent to everyone on the listserv. All replies will go to all. As a protection for personal email privacy, individual email addresses will not be displayed; only the listserve address is needed to respond.
Because this is a members-only listserve, to which any member may subscribe, emails to the listserve should not include any cc’s. (This practice also protects the personal email privacy of those who might have been cc’d.) Listserve members can, of course, forward emails to others.
All things related to WILPF can be discussed, but to protect our IRS status, there can be no endorsements of political parties or electoral candidates. If there is, removal from the listserv will result.
The WILPF US Board approved the following guidelines for this listserv. Disrespect towards these guidelines will result in a warning, possibly public (via the listserve) — to help everyone understand the enforcement of the guidelines. Repeated disrespect will result in being removed from the listserv.
- Be open to listening to different opinions.
- Be kind and and show respect for others in your language.
- No hate speech or bullying.
- No commercial or personal promotions or spam.
- Respect others' privacy.*
- No ad hominem remarks, i.e., remarks that specifically insult or attack a person.
We, those subscribing to the listserve, will be voting in online elections for listserv moderators. The moderators will follow the listserv posts and ensure that the guidelines are followed. They will develop procedures for addressing listserv problems and handle situations that arise. A repeated disrespect towards the guidelines will result in being taken off the list.
Would you like to nominate yourself to be elected as one of the three moderators? If you would be willing to serve as a moderator, please write an e-mail to the listserv (discuss@groups.electricembers.net) soon, preferably before April 29, stating that you are a candidate. The elections will be conducted online, probably at the start of May.
This listserv is open to additional WILPF members. They can join it as you did, by clicking here and filling out the simple sign-up form. New subscribers will be added to the listserv after staff verifies their WILPF membership is current.
