IMPORTANT: HEALTH FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED
Please submit your health exam and Immunizations ASAP if you have not already. These forms are due no later than October 15, 2026. If not received by then your student will not be able to return to school till they are compliant per the State of Illinois requirements.
Here are a few tips when uploading:
- When uploading a Health exam to your RVC account we need both pages. Please Upload as a PDF. For any Religious/Medical Exemptions we need the form signed by the doctor and your statement. Please upload as a PDF if 2 pages.
- If you have submitted your forms and you still see it say "Active" that means I sent it back to you as we need both pages of the Health exam or the Religious/Medical Exemption or Vision Exam. Please upload forms of 2 pages or more in a PDF form.
- You will see the Medical Information tab as well. That needs to be done ASAP. That is a questionnaire and both parents will need to go into their accounts and sign off before it will be completed. If you would like to remove the other parent/guardian, please email info@rvcschool.org and tell them which parent or guardian you would like to remove.

Preschool (AM only) - 8:00 - 11:30 am
Elementary (K-4) - 7:50 am - 2:55 pm
Middle and High (5-12) - 7:50 am - 3:10 pm
Thursdays will be late start at 8:50am (9:00am for preschool).
Exceptions will be noted in advance.

Favorite Color Day (Elementary): Wear your favorite color(s) from head to toe!
Minion Day (Middle School): It’s time to go bananas! Dress in your best Minion-inspired outfit.
Spirit Wear Day: Show your River Valley pride in your favorite RVC spirit wear!
All outfits should still follow school dress-down guidelines.

Entrusted With a Child's Heart | |
Open to all RVC moms!
Join us Wednesday mornings at 8:00 AM for this fantastic study. You can anticipate a video Bible teaching lesson accompanied by follow-up discussion. Homework includes Bible verse memorization and practical application. We will meet in The Hub on Floor 3 next to the library. This class will be led by Mrs. Kristy Weidman and Mrs. Nicole Fredericksen.
All are welcome to join this transformative study. The workbook can be purchased for $50 plus tax here. Books and a detailed schedule will be hand-delivered to you at your first meeting.

Birthday Lockers — Let NJHS Help You Celebrate!
Make your student’s birthday extra fun and support National Junior Honor Society at the same time! Families can now sign up to have NJHS students decorate their student’s locker for their birthday.
Prefer to decorate yourself? That’s welcome too—please decorate after school and follow the locker guidelines. Of course, you are never obligated to decorate—your student will still be celebrated on their special day.
*All decorations must be removed by Friday (Friday birthdays may remain through the following Friday)*

The Great Teacher Hunt
On Wednesday, October 14, Middle School students are invited to stay after school for an outdoor find-the-teacher game, pizza, and treats. The cost is $10 per student.
We will begin in the Chapel at 3:15 pm. Please plan to pick up by 6:00 pm by the MS/HS entrance.
We are hoping for a handful of volunteers to assist at this event.

River Valley Theater Arts offers after-school dance classes on Fridays for students Preschool–High School. Join us this fall in our newly renovated studio!
Our fall dance session will conclude with a recital, giving students the opportunity to share what they’ve learned and celebrate their hard work.

Looking for a meaningful way to be part of the school day without committing to a traditional work schedule? Our Lunch & Recess Support role may be a great fit! With just a few hours in the middle of the day, this position is ideal for a stay-at-home parent, college student with availability between classes, retiree, or anyone looking for flexible, purpose-filled part-time work. You’ll spend your time encouraging our K–4 students, helping create a safe and positive environment, and becoming part of the River Valley Christian School community—all while making a difference in the lives of our students.
We also have several part-time and seasonal positions available.
