E & J Cleaning & Restoration owners Grant and Sarah Ross owners recently were awarded the Business of the Week honor from Glenna Phelps- Aurich, Executive Director of Logan County Chamber.
Jesse Garcia started the E & J Steam business in 1986 and current owners Grant and Sarah Ross purchased the business in March of 2019.
Grant, who previously worked for Cabela’s Corporate, saw E & J Steam as an opportunity to own and operate a business himself for the first time and to grow an already established business with a loyal customer base.
Grant and Sarah have expanded their service area to include all of the panhandle of Nebraska and Northeast Colorado. They have service hubs in Sterling and Scottsbluff, Neb. They rebranded their business last year from the original E & J Steam to E & J Cleaning and Restoration.
They have done this because they have gone from strictly a flooring cleaning company to offering water damage and mold remediation. E & J has also added other services such as air duct cleaning,
odor mitigation, and specialty demo work.
E & J Cleaning and Restoration is currently an IICRC Certified firm, certified in Water Damage remediation, Structural Drying, and Mold remediation.
E & J Cleaning & Restoration can be reached at (970) 522-5569, ejcleaningrestoration.com or find them on Facebook!

Why Are Customers
So Belligerent?
We’ve all seen videos of customers being abusive to airline personnel, in grocery stores, in banks, and … also, bad customer service examples are everywhere.
In these times especially, we should be treating each other kindly. Unfortunately, the constant fear we’ve endured over the past two years has decreased our capacity for empathy. Instead of going from zero to 10 on a gradual scale and escalating to out-of-control when something is more warranted, we now go directly from zero to 10; we’re either on or off.
