Voting ends Monday Night Click Here To Vote

Your votes will determine which track gets the Fan Favorite award in each of the six District 16 divisions. And, the photos this year are outstanding. Many came in after the voting started so if you haven't looked in the past week or so look again. You can vote in all the Divisions if you want to so look at the sections you don't normally ride in. you may find some photos worthy of your vote! Even if you've already voted - check out the other sections and vote there too.

What happens next: The winners in the Favorite Track/Event sections will be awarded by whichever gets the most votes before Monday Night. Pretty simple.

For the Photographer section, when you arrive at the Banquet Saturday Night you will see photos from the six vote winners representing each of the six divisions: Motocross, Flat Track, Hillclimb, Recreation, Observed Trials and Off-Road. With your Banquet Ticket you will get a voting ballot for best photograph - simply put it in your favorite of the six. It's that easy. Whichever photo has the most votes that night will earn that shooter Photographer Of The Year for 2026.

Remember that you can still vote in sections you haven't voted in yet! So if you voted early for best MX you can jump in tonight and pick your favorite Off-Road or Trials shots. Vote in all six - it's up to you.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the Big Screen over the course of the night. All the photos entered will be showing in the slideshow. Look for these shots featured in the Event Guide and District 16 Calendar for 2027!

What To Expect Banquet Weekend

This is the weekend that includes not only our Awards Banquet, but the General Meeting of all District 16 Clubs & Promotors that make up the AMA District 16 Council. And from Friday Night through Saturday Morning, each of the six Divisions hold their individual "Breakout" meetings to finalize 2027 schedules and rules.

It's important to stress that these Breakout Meetings are where the actual business of each division is done for the following season. Rules, schedules and Club/Promoter Commitments are decided requiring order and decorum.

Also on Friday we will be holding a training meeting you may want to attend. The main topic covered will be AMA Protest Procedures for Sanctioned Meets. This meeting will be moderated by D-16 President William Bell and presented by AMA Commission Member Bert Sumner. What will be covered is how and when you as a rider can make use of an AMA Protest, and then what the Meet Referee must do next. This presentation will start at 6:30 in the Guava Room - same place that will hold the Flat Track meeting at 8. The Motocross meeting will start at 8pm in the Cypress Room. MX Director Tina Anderson will be devoting some time at the start of the meeting for input from the Moto Riders, as we will not be having a Riders Voice this year. At the conclusion of those meetings you are invited to the Volcano Bar/Bowling Alley for our annual Meet & Greet.

Saturday Morning starts off with the Recreation, Trials and Hillclimb meeting in the Guava Room at 9am. The Off-Road meeting in the Cypress Room also starts at 9. The entirety of the District Council meets at 11 in the Main Ballroom for the General Meeting where the final business is decided - including voting on Officers for 2027. If you have an interest in serving the District in 2027 please be at this meeting to be eligible for election to the Council Board. Aside from having the desire and ability, the only requirement is to be an AMA and District 16 Member in good standing.

The Banquet starts at 5:30 with Awards at 7. Door prizes after the Awards. And the collection of door prizes this year is AWESOME! And we couldn't have done is without the help of Aztalan Cycle Club, Stanford Law Offices and Beaver Cycle Club.

Tools from DeWalt? Got 'em.
A bike from Rob's Performance? Check.
Gear from EVS Sports and Moose Off-Road? Covered.

And that's only scratching the surface. How about Fondy Powersports, Northwoods Motorsports and Jay's for more prime stuff? Pro-Action of Wisconsin, KLIM, LS2, Fuel Factory, ZLT Graphics, Hoosier and Spectro. And to top it all off help from Xmas Motorsports Park.

So what else ya got?

Well, that's it for Volume 2026 of our eMail Blast series. I hope you enjoyed these and found them useful. It has been my privilege to be in the position to talk to all of you like this from time to time and I hope to have the opportunity again. Do me a favor and jump on the "Fan Favorite" voting thing and make some choices. And if you are of voting age, do the same this Tuesday at your local polling place.

Remember:

"It's not a party unless everyone's invited."

See you at the Banquet!
