Your Ballot Has Arrived!

A Personal Note from Jeanne

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Ballots are arriving in our mailboxes, and I wanted to take a moment to remind you about our local race: Larkspur City Council. With seven candidates running for three open seats, your vote matters, and I would be honored to earn yours.

I am the only candidate with nearly two decades of experience working directly with the City of Larkspur. For 18 years, I've served on the Parks and Recreation Commission, founded the Larkspur Rec'ing Crew in 2015, and helped kickstart $5.2 million in fundraising for our beautiful new library as a founding member of The Commons Foundation. I've spent nearly 20 years listening, collaborating, and turning community ideas into results.

Throughout this campaign, I've had the pleasure of meeting neighbors, knocking on doors, attending community events, and hearing what matters most to you. Those conversations have reinforced my priorities:

Supporting Our Community: Ensuring our new library and upcoming recreation building thrive as places that bring people together.

Protecting Larkspur's Character: Strengthening our downtown businesses, preserving our historic landmarks like City Hall and the Lark Theater, and celebrating the traditions that make Larkspur special.

Planning Responsibly for the Future: Addressing housing, traffic, infrastructure, wildfire safety, and sea-level rise and the Super El Nino with thoughtful planning and fiscal responsibility.

Listening and Working Together: Making decisions with transparency, respect, and meaningful community input.

I believe preserving what we love about Larkspur doesn't mean resisting change.

It means managing change wisely while protecting the heart of our community.

I'm grateful to have earned the endorsements of the Marin Independent Journal, Assemblymember Damon Connolly, Supervisors Dennis Rodoni and Brian Colbert, North Bay Labor Council, Marin Professional Firefighters Local 1775, and the Marin Association of Realtors, along with many respected community leaders and neighbors.

My commitment to Larkspur isn't just a campaign promise. It's nearly two decades of service, and I'm ready to bring that experience to City Council.

I'd be grateful for your vote. Please remember to return your ballot by Tuesday, November 3, 2026!

And one last favor: If you believe in the work I've done and the future I envision for Larkspur, please share this message with a friend or neighbor. In a local election, personal conversations and recommendations make a difference.

Thank you for your friendship, encouragement, and support throughout this campaign. It means more than you know.

With gratitude,

Jeanne

On the Campaign Trail: Good People, Great Places, and a Whole Lot of Larkspur!

If there's one thing I've learned on the campaign trail, it's that running for City Council is a wonderful excuse to get out, meet people, reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and occasionally enjoy a really good cup of coffee!

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of community events, lively conversations, and visits to some of my favorite local spots. And while the schedule has been a little crazy, I've loved having the opportunity to hear directly from Larkspur residents and spend time with the people who make our community so special.

There was Dishing with the Dems, where I enjoyed connecting with Ava Fruin, Larkspur-Corte Madera School Board Trustee, and Ryan Day, Political Director of Marin Firefighters Local 1775. Good conversations, familiar faces, and plenty of community spirit!

I also took the campaign to the Bon Air Car Show, where classic cars provided a terrific backdrop for meeting neighbors and talking about Larkspur's future.

At my Rotary Club, we welcomed Dick Spotswood of the Marin Independent Journal as our guest speaker. Rotary has been part of my life for many years, and I always appreciate the opportunity to bring interesting voices and thoughtful discussions to the table.

The Spirit of Marin celebration was another highlight, where I enjoyed spending time with Mary O'Mara, Executive Director of MarinLink, and celebrating the people and organizations that contribute so much to our county.

And, of course, campaigning requires proper nourishment! A stop at Emporio Rulli with Joy Scully Koo, candidate for the Tamalpais Union High School District Board of Trustees, was a lovely reminder that some of the best conversations happen over coffee and something delicious.

One particularly fun stop was the ribbon cutting for Tipsy Dumpling, a new addition to Larkspur's restaurant scene. It was a pleasure to celebrate alongside County Supervisor Brian Colbert and Larkspur Mayor Stephanie Andre. Welcoming new businesses and supporting our local merchants is one of the things I love most about this community.

Through all these events, the best part has been the people. Whether it's a quick hello, a conversation about neighborhood concerns, or someone sharing what they love about living here, every encounter reminds me how fortunate we are to call Larkspur home.

The campaign trail may be exhausting at times, but it certainly hasn't been boring! I'm grateful for the warm welcomes, the thoughtful conversations, the laughter, and the many people who continue to show up for our community.
