The Optimist International Junior Golf Championship is here!

Make sure you are fully prepared before you arrive. The following information will help you with your plans.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

Prior to arriving into Miami International, reserve your airport transportation to the resort in advance. OneLimo Alliance will be providing shuttle service for $47.50/per person for a non-stop, shared ride from MIA Airport – Trump National Doral in a black SUV or black Sprinter Van. There will be no extra charge for the handling of the golf bags. For private transportation $128.50 one-way for a party of 2 and $146.50 for 3-5 passengers one-way. Be prepared to give the following information: your name, how many passengers, cell number, address, airline, flight numbers, arrival/departure times and credit card information. 

To receive a full refund you must cancel within 24 hours. If less than 24 hours, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.

Uber or Lyft are other options. The airport is approximately 10 minutes away.

ARRIVAL

Check in at Hotel Front desk for your hotel room. ALL GOLFERS MUST STAY IN THEIR ASSIGNED ROOMS. If a golfer is not in their assigned room each evening they will be disqualified. Curfew is 10:30 pm each night.   Participants and their families will be housed in the most accommodating room type available. In some cases, ROLLAWAY BEDS will be used. There is no guarantee that the rooms will be connecting or near each other. Do NOT call Trump National. Reservations are a package deal and dates can't be altered. If adding dates, please contact Optimist Junior Golf to check availability. Refunds will not be issued for early departures.

The Tournament office, Registration, Merchandise area and Scoring area are located in the Imperial Ballroom adjacent to the 1st tee of the Blue Monster course. If you arrive after the close of registration, please check in with us the next morning.

Resort check-out at 11 AM | check-in 4 PM. If you arrive before the check-in time, the resort will store your luggage.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  There are no refunds for any cancellations/changes after July 4.

RESORT FEE (OPTIONAL)

There is an optional resort fee of $20.00 plus taxes per room per day to be applied at check-in for unlimited toll-free and local calls, usage of the gym, complimentary daily beach shuttle (reservations required 24 hours in advance) daily resort activities and daily newspaper.

ROOM AMENITIES

There is in room high-speed wireless access, coffee makers, iron and ironing board, in-room safe, and hair dryer. Trump National offers a 10% discount on retail outlets (excluding Sunday items) and a 15% discount on all spa treatments (excluding salon services).

PARKING FEES

Self-parking - up to 8 hours - $5.00 | $10.00 a night for parking with in and out privileges 

Valet parking - 1-3 hour $16.00 / 3-8 hours $20.00 / overnight is $34.00.

GOLFERS TRAVELING ALONE

All golfers and families must present a valid credit card upon check-in for incidentals. For golfers traveling alone, a link will be sent by email  for you to complete for credit card authorization. This link must be completed prior to arrival.

IMPORTANT: Parent -- Please check charges to be authorized to the card being provided. Room and tax will go to Optimist Account.

PRACTICE ROUNDS

You must arrange your own practice round by contacting the Resort directly at 800-713-6725 and mention Optimist Junior Golf Championship to arrange a tee time. Practice rounds are payable to Trump National Doral Resort.  Golf Carts may be rented in the pro shop and are allowed during practice rounds (valid driver's license required). Parents and other guests may serve as caddies during practice rounds only. For more information, Click Here.

JGS - Withdrawal Policy

LIVE SCORING    For live scoring players must download GolfGenius on their phones. Golfers will be asked to enter their scores after each hole. 

It's not a problem, if you child does not have a phone or International plan.

The scorecard is the official scores. The GGID will be printed on your scorecard.

Just a couple of friendly reminders

• All participants must stay at the resort at all times unless you have a parent or guardian with you. If caught leaving the premises, you will be disqualified.
• You must stay in your assigned sleeping room throughout the event. Each room is subject to an on the spot inspection at any time.
• Curfew is 10:30pm

DRIVING RANGE

On tournament days, Participants are not allowed to enter the range until one hour prior to your tee time. Participants will receive a small bucket of golf balls to hit at the check in table. The range open's at 6:30 AM on tournament days, and balls will be complimentary until the last tee time. After the final tee time, anyone wanting to hit balls will need to go to the Pro Shop to pay for additional balls.

TEE TIMES AND RESULTS

Will be posted each evening on the Optimist website www.optimist.org/golf. Tee Times will be posted during Official Practice Round day for tournament day round 1. And as soon as possible after each tournament round.

PRO SHOP HOURS

The pro shop will be open daily at 6:30 AM and close at 8:00 PM during tournament round days.

CADDIES

Caddies are prohibited in all age divisions for all tournament rounds. No exceptions.

PULL CARTS -- LAST CHANCE TO RESERVE.

All Pull Carts are allowed in ALL age divisions Boys and Girls. Reserve your click gear 3.5+ push cart includes umbrella holder and drink holder for the entire tournament The Pull carts are located next to the Imperial Ballroom.

"Availability is limited so reserve early".

Phase 1 - Boys 10-11, 12-13 and Girls 10-12.

Phase 2 - Boys 14-15 and Girls 13-14.

Phase 3 - Boys 16-18 and Girls 15-18.

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES

In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g. elevation changes, wind speed, etc.) the player is in breach of Rule 14-3. Cell phones may be used to measure ONLY distance.

CLUBHOUSE POLICY - Regarding Golf bags and pull carts

Golf bags and pull carts are NOT allowed in the clubhouse. 

Participants must keep them in their room at night. During meal functions, participants will place their bags and carts into the designated locations at resort.

BREAKFAST AND DINNER

The badges you receive at registration will get you into breakfast and dinner each day in the Gold/White Ballroom.

LUNCH is on your own.
