FDOT Project Review Training

The Palm Beach TPA and FDOT hosted a Project Review Training on August 19 for planners and engineers. Participants learned how to effectively engage with FDOT throughout project development to ensure local priorities are integrated from the beginning.

E-Bike and Micromobility Safety Workshop

The Palm Beach TPA invites transportation professionals, locally elected officials, and community members to join the E-Bike and Micromobility Safety Workshop on September 10 at 9:30 a.m. This informative session will cover recent updates to Florida statutes related to e-bikes, e-scooters, and other micromobility devices. Participants will explore the expanding range of these devices, review best practices for safe and connected facility design, and gain practical strategies to align plans and infrastructure with new regulations. The workshop will also address conflict mitigation and support the development of a safe, balanced multimodal transportation system. The training will be held at the TPA with a Zoom option for virtual attendees.

National Walk & Roll to School Day

Celebrate National Walk & Roll to School Day on October 8! Find resources to plan an event at your school and see which schools participated in previous years at WalkBiketoSchool.org.

Building Support for Walkable and Bikeable Communities Workshop

The Palm Beach TPA invites planners, engineers, elected officials, and community members to take part in a special training session with former Mayor John Bauters, widely known as “America’s Bike Mayor”, on November 3 at 2 p.m. This engaging workshop will explore how to create communities that are safer and more accessible for people walking and biking. Attendees will gain insight on building public support, communicating the benefits of active transportation, and overcoming common challenges to change. The session will provide actionable strategies to help shape vibrant, walkable, and bike-friendly environments.

The Dutch Cycling Transformation: Infrastructure & Communication Strategies

Join the Palm Beach TPA for a webinar on November 20 with international mobility experts Chris and Melissa Bruntlett. Chris, with the Dutch Cycling Embassy, will share how the Netherlands transitioned from car-centric to cycle-friendly communities. Melissa, founder of Modacity Creative, will explore how effective communication strategies have helped Dutch and international communities build public support for active transportation initiatives.
