A MONTHLY GATHERING OF ENCOURAGEMENT,

CONNECTION AND PURPOSE

FROM THE FOUNDER

We are going to need a bigger table!

Faith in Hospitality has officially grown to more than 300 members! Growth is exciting, but growth alone is not the mission.

The real purpose of Faith in Hospitality is to create a place where people feel welcomed, encouraged and connected to something meaningful. A place where professionals from different backgrounds and beliefs can come together, support one another and know they belong.

As this community grows, so does our responsibility.

It is not enough to simply fill the room. We must continue making room. Hospitality has always been about more than opening a door. It is about noticing who is standing outside, pulling up another chair and helping someone find their place at the table.

That is our focus for August:

Make the table bigger.

  • Invite one person into the community.
  • Introduce two people who should know one another.
  • Share an opportunity with someone who may need it.
  • Encourage the person who may be quietly wondering whether there is still a place for them.

You may not be able to solve every problem or provide someone’s next job, client or opportunity. But you may know the person who can.

This month, let’s each look beyond the people already seated beside us and ask:

Who can I make room for?

When we do that together, growth becomes more than a number. It becomes belonging. It becomes purpose. It becomes a movement built one meaningful connection at a time.

With gratitude,

Jacki Arena

Founder, Faith in Hospitality

MAKING ROOM MATTERS

300 Members and Our First Career Connections Success Story

Every new member represents another story, perspective, relationship and opportunity to make our table bigger. We are grateful for each person who has chosen to become part of this growing Faith in Hospitality family.

And the connections are already making a difference.

Last month, we shared Allison Perley’s experience and career goals through our first Career Connections section in the July newsletter. Within one week, she accepted a position as a Junior Hospitality Designer!

In Allison’s words:

“Career Connections was the answer to my prayers!”

This is exactly why Career Connections was created. Sometimes one shared opportunity, one introduction or one person willing to help can change someone’s path.

As our community continues to grow, so does our ability to open doors, make introductions and help more people find their place. Connection is working. Let’s keep making room!

CAREER CONNECTIONS

Connecting Talent with Opportunity

Career Connections helps hospitality professionals and employers find one another through shared opportunities and introductions. You do not have to be a member of Faith in Hospitality to participate. Look how companies and individuals are stepping up and reaching out and it is only month two of this!
