2026 #2 February 2

Does the Groundhog really know?

Like many of you, I was disheartened to learn that Punxsutawny Phil and his groundhog siblings didn't get the memo that we are over it with this winter...

Snow is great - when we can all get back to business after a little break. Big storm recovery is complicated on a good day and our recent one coupled with the fierce deep freeze has been tougher then anyone has seen in years. We thank the Departments of Public Works and staff for our Villages of Port Chester and Rye Brook. These folks have worked day and night and night and day to get our municipalities open quickly. Now, they continue to make progress in returning streets and parking areas to as normal as possible -- still in freezing temps. They are crucial to keeping businesses open and accessible - and we are grateful for their energy, hard work, and dedication...and hope they get some rest soon! We also thank our terrific police, fire, and EMS professionals for keeping us safe in pretty tough conditions.

In other news... we have two members opening their businesses (ribbon cuttings to come!) - French Florist and Ready Set Smile Pediatric Dentistry. Congratulations!

Employers, please take a close look at the offer (below) from Restore Wellness. They created this just for our members!

Finally, we have a really nice roster of events and offerings from our members and community friends throughout this newsletter - please feel free to share!

Cheers! Camela Morrissey

PS: We have several networking and member events about to be scheduled and we will announce them as soon as we can confirm all the details.

Special Offer for Chamber Members from Restore Hyper Wellness

If you haven't yet checked out Restore Wellness in the Gateway Shopping Center, you really should. They have an amazing menu of wellness services and therapies to revitalize and refresh - and they have a really cool studio. See this special offer for our members and take advantage of it.

Members have Benefits

We are making great progress on the new website and member referral directory and will soon announce a membership meeting to launch it. The directory will allow members to link a Chamber directory profile to your own website and Google/Bing business listings, and social media accounts.

Also - we continue to make valuable introductions between members for networking, support, and potential collaboration. As our membership grows, this creates more opportunities for those in our commerce community to collaborate.
