"Trust me, I'm a journalist" public events kick off in Chickasha

KGOU and Oklahoma Watch launched the first in a series of public events designed to build trust in the news media last week in Chickasha. KGOU general manager Dick Pryor and Oklahoma Watch executive director Ted Streuli gave insight into how news organizations work, answered questions about journalism practices and ethics, and also learned about concerns particular to the Chickasha area.

The next event will be in Woodward on March 26, but time and location are yet to be announced. Additional events are planned for Durant and Ponca City. This project is a partnership between KGOU and Oklahoma Watch, facilitated and supported by the Oklahoma Media Center and Trusting News. Stay tuned!
