Miami Developments — November 2025
Jungle Island / Watson Island Master Plan
The City of Miami has approved a transformative master plan for the redevelopment of Jungle Island and Watson Island, marking a significant step forward for Miami’s waterfront. The plan envisions a thoughtfully designed mixed-use destination that balances residential development with expansive public space, reinforcing the island’s role as a gateway between Downtown Miami and Miami Beach.
At the heart of the plan are two residential towers rising up to 48 stories, delivering approximately 600 new homes. These towers are paired with a 13-acre public waterfront park, creating a vibrant environment that prioritizes open space, walkability, and public access to Biscayne Bay. The park will serve as a major community asset, offering green space and recreational opportunities while enhancing the island’s natural setting.
Beyond housing, the master plan emphasizes resilience, connectivity, and long-term sustainability. Infrastructure improvements, enhanced shoreline design, and integrated public amenities are intended to support Miami’s climate goals while creating a destination that benefits residents, visitors, and the broader community. With city approval in place, the Jungle Island and Watson Island redevelopment represents a major milestone in Miami’s continued evolution as a world-class waterfront city.
