At the recent 20th Century Evening Sale of Christie's NY, Fernando Botero's "The Musicians" attained a new record by fetching an extraordinary price of $5,132,000. Though I was the underbidder on the piece, I extend my congratulations to the final purchaser. This sale has broken the previous record by more than double the established price I paid for the exceptional painting "La Casa de las Gemelas Arias," which I acquired for $2,200,000. This masterpiece has adorned our dining room for years and continues to be an integral part of our collection, which is considered the largest and most significant of the Colombian Masters worldwide.

As part of our ongoing effort to showcase Fernando Botero's art, we are excited to announce that we will present "BoteroSutra" during Art Basel Miami Beach Week. This exhibition pays tribute to the world-renowned artist and includes a collection of unseen paintings, drawings, and sculptures inspired by the ancient Hindu book Kama Sutra, which explores themes of sexuality, eroticism, and emotional fulfillment in life.

For over 40 years, I've extensively promoted and supported Botero's legacy and market, as he's one of his generation's most influential and essential artists. Despite being the most recognized artist worldwide, he is still undervalued compared to his peers. Nevertheless, a rapid transformation in this regard is underway.
