Open Houses & Stage 3 Reopening
Northumberland, Peterborough & Kawartha Lakes entered the Provincial Stage 3 of reopening on July 17th and real estate Open Houses are now permitted. We expect Durham Region and the City of Toronto to enter Phase 3 later this week or next week (assuming Covid-19 cases continue on a downward trend.) Lifting the prohibition on Open Houses does NOT mean that Covid-19 is no longer a serious concern or that the risk of infection is not still very real.
Let's be the example of how our industry can continue to move forward positively and responsibly. Conduct your business with the utmost professional care and respect for municipal guidelines. Discuss and document the benefits and risks with your clients - Sellers who will be opening their homes to strangers and Buyers who will be visiting homes (for showings and/or Open Houses)
