In Our Margate, we are fortunate to have excellent park facilities, programs, services, and staff. Whether you enjoy cooling down at Calypso Cove, walking your dog at Firefighters Park, or hanging out at Sounds at Sundown at the Sports Complex Covered Field, please help us celebrate our parks and their role in improving your quality of life.

Save Water & Money with a High-Efficiency Toilet

Margate residents and businesses are eligible to participate in the ConservationPay$ toilet rebate program, which has increased from $100 to $125 for replacing high-efficiency toilets. Now through September 20, 2023, eligible rebate applicants will automatically be entered into a drawing to win a gift card valued at $250. The prize can cover the installation of a new toilet or other home improvement needs.

Hot Weather Rules for Pets

Your pets are important family members, so it's essential to check on them frequently during the hottest parts of the day, 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., to ensure they are safe. Never leave them alone in hot vehicles – only minutes in a hot car can be deadly for your pet. Ensure your pet has plenty of water and shade places to go when outdoors. Test sidewalks with your hand: if it's too hot for your hand, it's probably too hot for your pet.
