The ICS High School Science Olympiad team competed in the Division C NW Regional Competition on 2/21/2026 and has officially qualified for the State competition!

Our incredible PTSA Science Club student executive team: Vidhur Prabhu, Grace Yu, Sabeha Shaikot, and Selene Zhu, has truly gone above and beyond. Not only leading weekly club meetings to support our middle school Division B Science Olympiad students, but they also took the initiative to form a high school team for Division C.

These dedicated students secured financial support through the Kirkland Youth Council Mini-Grant to cover registration fees, recruited seven additional teammates, and built a strong 11‑member team ready to take on 18 out of the 23 event categories.

Big shout‑out to the students who secured top‑10 placements in their events:


• 1st Place – Water Quality: Sabeha Shailot
• 5th Place – Codebusters: Daniel Zhang, Grace Yu, Vidhur Prabhu
• 6th Place – Forensics: Akshitha Satishbabu, Eshaal Naeem
• 7th Place – Disease Detectives: Sisong Li, Isabella Chang
• 9th Place – Robot Tour: Daniel Zhang, Vidhur Prabhu

ICS thrives when families get involved. The PTSA is looking for nominations for next year’s Board, no experience needed, and roles fit different interests and time commitments. All nominations are confidential.

LUNCHROOM VOLUNTEERS

ICS lunchroom volunteers now need to obtain their Food Worker Card. Obtaining your card is a relatively short task, costs $10, and is valid for 2 years. This is beneficial for all kitchen volunteers to have in order to keep all our kids safe and healthy. Apply here and you can print a copy of your card and bring in the next time you volunteer:

ICS International Night is an exciting event that celebrates the diverse cultures and traditions within our community. Join us April 24 at 6:00 PM at the Lyceum for an evening filled with vibrant performances, delicious international cuisine, and engaging activities that showcase the rich heritage of our participants.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, learn about different cultures, and enjoy a night of fun and food. To sign up for ICS International Night, please fill out this form by April 10. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
