Shul Stitchers Share Warmth Near and Far

Our Shul Stitchers have been putting their time and talent to work for others. The group teamed up to knit 45 beautiful hats, which have been mailed off for the Common Man charity to hand-deliver to Ukrainian orphans.

Their care reaches closer to home, too. In late September, the Stitchers donated 15 soft baby blankets to Lankenau Hospital’s Maternity Center, each wrapped and tied with a bow. Thank you to everyone who turned their talent and generosity into comfort for others!

Thanksgiving Outreach: Volunteers Needed

Help cook meals, make casseroles and soup, and prepare snack bags for Caring for Friends and St. John’s Hospice.

HIAS PA Coat Drive

Thank you to our coat-drive supporters! Anonymous donors have contributed 7 coats, Open A Book donated 6 coats, Rosh Chodesh contributed $115, and Shul Stitchers contributed $140. This is a synagogue-wide effort, and every contribution helps.

Bring new adult men’s and women’s winter coats, in any size, with tags attached to the coat rack in the Kramer Lobby, now through Thanksgiving.

Monetary donations of any amount may be brought to Dawn in the main office. Make checks payable to Har Zion Temple with “HIAS PA” in the memo. For coat suggestions, contact Andy Coren.
