Children's Ministries Update

Hello families,

Last Sunday, we resumed Children's Church with a Eucharist and a milestone celebration for Kindergartners (and their families) who have just moved up from the nursery into Children's Ministries. Each child got a Blessing Bowl to collect symbols of the blessings in their lives and a blessing from Andy as they take this new step in their faith journey. There were puppets sharing wisdom, children sharing wisdom, and a lot of us adults learning from that wisdom! I am constantly amazed at how the Holy Spirit works through each of us, especially children. You also can be blessed by these kids as you sign up to help with Children's Church - we need each family to sign up for 2 Sundays to help out so that we have enough adult coverage. (see QR code below). You can also sign up to help with Nursery and with Special Events.

We also had our Open House for Formation during the Formation hour. If you weren't able to be there, make sure that you grab a brochure with the calendar and other goodies inside when you come up to the 2nd floor Pritchett Center and 1st fl for the Nursery.

This Sunday, we will gather with all ages to make 800 sandwiches in 45 min after the 10:00 service in Ellis Hall. The Sandwich Project will then send 700 of those sandwiches to agencies to pass out to those in need. We keep some in our freezers at church to hand out to those needing food and then we share the rest with Church of the Common Ground.

Nursery/Little Saints' Playdate

3:00 pm

Saturday, September 21

Calling all families with infant to PreK kids! Join us on the playground at church for fun, snacks, and fellowship. It is hard to meet other parents as we run to drop off for nursery and get into church. So let's get together and let the kids play while adults get time to chat. Bring water bottles and a blanket to sit on. I will have snacks for the kids and waters/sodas for adults. If it is too hot, we will go into the nursery area.
