Happening This Week

"The Man Who Rippled the Waters"

This week in worship, we'll complete our series recalling "heroes" of our faith tradition and how they have illuminated the call of Christ for us all. Alexander Mack is considered the founder of the Church of the Brethren movement, although he never desired to be called that, out of humility and reverence for Christ. We'll hear some of his story and consider the notion of "counting the cost" when entering baptism and taking on a true and deeply-formed discipleship to Jesus, something quite bold and unique even within a society that was already "Christian."

Our Choir returns this week in worship, for which we are grateful. Worship, as always, will include a special time for the children as well as singing, scripture, prayer and proclamation. Join us at 10:30 AM, in person or online.

Disaster Ministries Presentation

At 9:00 AM in Room 154, we are hosting a combined adult and youth Sunday School presentation with David Wolfe, District Disaster Relief Trip Coordinator. Please join us to learn about the work being done in several places and possible opportunities to be involved.

"Lemonade on the Lawn"

Following worship, this week, plan to stay for some additional time of fellowship, as we are hosting "Lemonade on the Lawn" near the chapel. Not a full picnic or meal, but refreshment and time together on a beautiful day!

There will also be opportunity to take a look at the new use for our parsonage building, which as of this week has become a home for instructions space for students in the Lincoln Intermediate Unit. Come and celebrate this new partnership and way that we are serving the needs of our community.

Live Stream Worship

Our worship services are available via YouTube for those who wish to join that way. Click the image above shortly before the service begin to join in 10:30 AM on Sunday or anytime afterward. DVD copies of the services are also available.
