Protecting our beaches and waterways is essential to preserving what makes Greater Miami such a special destination. Plastic-Free Miami Beach highlights the importance of reducing single-use plastics and encouraging more sustainable practices across our community, including the hospitality industry.
Hotels, restaurants, and local businesses can play an important role by reducing disposable plastic items, encouraging reusable alternatives, and helping guests make environmentally conscious choices during their stay. These efforts not only help protect our coastal environment but also support a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable destination for residents and visitors alike.
GMBHA encourages our members to explore opportunities to reduce plastic waste and embrace sustainable solutions in their daily operations. Through collective action, we can help protect Miami Beach’s natural beauty and strengthen our commitment to responsible tourism.
Every step toward reducing plastic waste makes a difference.
