Dear Studio Families,
We wanted to provide a brief update on our policies based on recent guidance regarding immune and recently vaccinated individuals.
Immunity and Symptoms:
If a staff member or dancer is exhibiting symptoms such as cough, sore throat, muscle aches, difficulty breathing, new loss of taste or smell, fever of 100.4 or greater without the use of fever-reducers, regardless of immune status, he or she must quarantine for at least 10 days, unless clearance to return is provided.
Immunity and Exposure:
Individuals will be considered “immune” if:
Vaccinated: Two weeks after completing the full course of vaccination(s).
For previously positive individual (with lab-confirmed case): ten (10) days after the onset of symptoms, or, in the case of an asymptomatic individual, ten (10) days after the date tested and then during at least ninety (90) day period after the positive test result.
If an “immune” staff member or dancer comes in close contact with anyone who has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19, he or she will not be excluded under our policy.
There is one exception to the requirement to have clearance to return and that is for a newly vaccinated staff member or dancer. If that person is experiencing a vaccine-related symptom, that appeared within 48 hours after the vaccination, and resolves within 48 hours after it appears, clearance to return will not be needed, and that person can return, once fever-free for 24 hours.
