Community Recap

March 5, 2025 | North Fair Oaks - Canopy joined Herbert Hoover Elementary School for their annual Family Literacy Night. The 2025 Literacy Night theme was space, so Canopy offered three fun activities to help students practice their literacy skills while exploring tree and space topics! Our Education team read books like “Moon Tree” and “Wangari’s Trees of Peace” with school families. Students also drew and wrote stories about constellations in the shape of trees and designed comics about the tree life cycle in space.

March 8, 2025 | Mountain View (morning) - Planting Leaders Sara Peek, Anna Gomez, Gabriel Olivieri, Rob O’Connor, and Adrian Maciel, Community Forestry School graduates Mark Sullivan, Evan Smith, and Amy Hua, members of Scouts BSA Troops 2485 and 485, Irvington High School students, Palo Alto High School students, and community members planted 10 trees across 5 locations in Mountain View.
