DPAC September 25, 2024 Agenda

Welcome/Community Builder

  • Welcome from FACE staff

  • Community Builder- Question to think about:

Francis Bacon once said, "He who gives good advice, builds with one hand. He who gives good counsel and example builds with both. But, he who gives good admonition and bad example, builds with one hand and pulls down with the other".

The quote suggests that when dispensing advice to others, it is important to exemplify what you are saying. Otherwise, the advice is not beneficial to you or the person you are giving it to. In leadership or professional settings, we are subject to receiving solicited AND unsolicited advice from peers, leadership, and other stakeholders.

What is the best piece of advice you received in your professional or personal life from someone who lived by the advice they offered?

  • Secondary students will receive guidance on safe social media use during school hours.
