The Ask?
We've raised $1,270 of our $5,000 goal. We need financial support to make this project a success! Funds will be used to package, coordinate, and distribute 500 Pancake Project kits to our kids and families and support our ongoing impactful programming.
Distribution and Additional Details!
Packages would be assembled and delivered directly to our partner agencies by our amazing KUF Krew volunteers, staff, and board members during Stampede week.
Our Partner Agencies know their children and families best as well as who is currently in need of the most support. Our Partner Agencies would select these families. We would include instructions on how to make pancakes and the tradition behind Stampede breakfasts etc.
What is the Pancake Project?
Established in 2020, the Pancake Project aimed to fulfill the top needs of the families we serve which included food and a solution to address social isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thanks to last year's generous sponsor and donors, the project was a huge success. In 2020, we were able to support 500 families, each receiving a kit that included pancake mix, syrup, a Stampede themed activity booklet, crayons, as well as a live virtual event with local guests such as country artist Drew Gregory, Pastry Chef Katelin Bland, and the 2020 Calgary Stampede Poster Artist Ariel Clipperton. The items in each of the kits were contained in a reusable bag provided by the sponsor with their logo.
