2026 Group Trips

Calling educators and leaders of teens and young adults (ages 13-23)! Are you looking for a unique way to inspire your students outside the classroom? In 2026, set sail on a hands-on learning adventure aboard a SALTS tall ship!

These multi-day voyages—offered in spring and fall—invite schools and other groups to navigate the Salish Sea from Victoria, BC, while building teamwork, resilience, and unforgettable memories.

Adults on Board this Fall

This fall, we welcomed more adult trainees on board than we have in many years!

All-Adult Multi-Day Trips: For the first time in decades, rare openings in our fall sailing schedule allowed us to host two overnight sailing trips exclusively for adults! Participants unplugged from daily life on land, connected with their adventurous sides, and took time to reflect. It was a pleasure to watch some reconnecting with sailing memories from their youth, and others experiencing firsthand the program that has shaped the lives of young people close to them.

Educator Day Sails: We were also joined by 37 educators on two Educator Day Sails where we provided a hands-on glimpse into our program and into how outdoor education, community building, and experiential learning can support student growth. We're grateful for the chance we had to connect and learn together!

Victoria Classic Boat Festival 2025

SALTS was honoured to participate in the Victoria Classic Boat Festival again this Labour Day weekend! It was a full weekend of welcoming trainees back from their sailing adventures and hosting members of the public for ship tours and public day sails. Almost 600 guests toured the Pacific Grace, heard about our programs, and shared memories of their own experiences aboard SALTS' ships.

Thank you to the Maritime Museum for hosting us and to the volunteers who made this event possible!

Thank You, Volunteers!

We are so grateful for all the volunteers who have shared their skills, time, and energy with us so far this year to help our trips run smoothly.

From those helping with maintenance projects, to those who helped at the Classic Boat Festival, to those who joined us on board to help mentor youth on our trips - thank you!

Summer Bursaries

This summer, we were joined on board by 35 young people who wouldn't have been able to sail without our bursary program. Bursary funding for these young people was only possible because of those who have generously given to and supported the SALTS bursary program. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of young people and for making life-changing summer trips accessible!
