They Have Nowhere Else to Go!

For the next 24 hours, you can give them a second chance.

And Then There's Leopold!

Leopold didn’t just come to us in need—

he came to us fighting for his life.

He arrived emaciated, gravely ill, and so badly abused that he had suffered a brain injury. He was living in fear, carrying the weight of trauma no dog should ever endure. He wasn’t expected to survive. In fact, he had already been placed on a euthanasia list.

There was no time to wait. So we stepped in.

Leopold spent 2½ days in ICU, and somehow—through everything he had endured— he found the will to fight. And he lived.

Today, Leopold is alive and improving, but his journey isn’t over. He continues to heal—physically and emotionally—learning, day by day, what it means to feel safe.

Dogs like Leopold are why we do this work. Because without rescue…

without intervention… he would not be here.

And there are more just like him—waiting right now.

Dear Friends of Rescue,

It’s here. The Big Day of Giving has begun—and for the next 24 hours, we have one chance to make a life-changing difference for dogs who have nowhere else to go.

At Sierra Pacific Great Pyrenees Rescue, this isn’t just another fundraiser. This is survival. For nearly 30 years, we’ve been rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing these magnificent dogs. But right now, we are facing one of the most difficult periods we’ve ever seen.

Here’s the reality:

➡️ We receive up to 15 calls a day from owners desperate to surrender their dogs

➡️ Many are young, frightened, and completely unprepared for the world they’ve been left in

➡️ We are at capacity—and still, the calls keep coming

➡️ The cost of care—food, medical, shelter—continues to rise while adoptions slow

And yet… we don’t turn our backs. Because when a Great Pyrenees is abandoned, neglected, or discarded—they have no one else. We are their safety net.

Today, we’re asking you to stand with us.

Your gift—whether it’s $10, $50, $100, or more—does something very real:

It feeds a hungry dog.

It provides medical care to one in pain.

It gives a frightened soul a safe place to land.

It turns fear into trust… and survival into a second chance.

Every single dollar goes directly to the dogs.

We are a no-kill, volunteer-led rescue—powered by commitment, not overhead.

💛 Please give today.

💛 Please share.

💛 Please be the reason another dog gets a second chance.

DONATE NOW

If you’ve ever seen the eyes of a dog who has been given up on—and watched that spark come back to life—you already understand why this matters. They are worth saving.

And with your help, we will keep showing up for them.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Pam Tobin
