BCA News

Oct. 23, 2026

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God –

not by works, so that no one can boast.

For we are God’s handiwork,

created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in

advance for us to do.

Ephesians 2:8 - 10

Chapel

Chapel service Wed., Oct. 28 will be led by Pastor Cox of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.

Our first quarter chapel offerings benefitted the Lutheran Heritage Foundation. Thank you to all who contributed to help this organization!

Second quarter offerings will go to Northside Neighborhood House.

Congratulations to this week's Whopper winner!

Parker, 6th grade, was recognized by Ms. Williams, middle school teacher, for this week's Whopping Acts of ROAR recipient!

"I want to recognize Parker for showing consistent respectfulness and responsibility.

Parker is a young man who regularly offers to help his teachers, whether it is carrying the lunch boxes up to the cafeteria, taking chairs down or helping clean up the classroom. He sees the need and takes care of the task, without being asked. He has a servant's heart, and I am so proud of him."

Does your K - 8th grade student have a family member or family friend who is currently serving or retired from the U.S. military?

If so, BCA would like to honor the service person associated with your family by having them join your student for lunch Wed., Nov. 11.

Please share the invitation below with your veteran/service family member or friend who will join your student.

Please R.S.V.P. by Nov. 6 with the veteran who will eat lunch with your student.

Ice Cream Truck Visit

Oct. 29

So far, our two Ice Cream Truck visits have been a hit! Throughout the school year, on the same day that our teachers are treated to their "Gift of Time", our PTL is hosting an Ice Cream Truck visit to allow students to purchase special ice cream treats during their lunch period.

PTL volunteers will once again monitor the students in the cafeteria to allow teachers to enjoy the catered lunch that the volunteers also provide. During lunch, students will be able to visit the truck in the front parking lot to purchase their ice cream.

We appreciate Sweet Treats for bringing their delicious ice cream our way!

For details on pricing and cash payment, please see the ORDER FORM.
