A Midweek Escape to Yountville

Who decided a getaway had to start on Friday?

The lineup of events on the weekends just keeps getting longer, and so are the lines to the bakery, and the restaurant's schedules. So, imagine this: a lovely hotel room, a dinner with no reservation required, walk-in tasting rooms, art galleries, coffee shops, and boutiques just a stroll away - all without the weekend crowds. There is lots to be said for slipping away midweek.

During the week, Yountville takes a breath. It’s often a little less busy so more time to enjoy the day. Tuesdays are the new Fridays!

Here is your guide to mid-week in Yountville.

Check In, and Enjoy

Midweek hotel rates are often easier on the budget, leaving a little extra for more fun in town… or a spa treatment during your stay. Between the pool, a sunny courtyard, and a team who knows just where to send you for dinner, you might find yourself wishing you’d booked another night.

Napa Valley Lodge: Cab or Pinot? Luckily, you don’t have to choose. Their Cab or Pinot Package includes tastings for two at Jessup Cellars and Hope & Grace Wines, both open throughout the week.

Staying longer? Their separate Stay Longer + Save offer takes 15% off stays of three nights or more.

The Cottages of Napa Valley: Just outside Yountville, the private, adults-only cottages radiate of cabin charm in wine country.

The evenings are even cozier with your own outdoor fire and s’mores. Stay Sunday- Thursday and enjoy the Midweek Cottage Pass, with 50% off tastings at six partner wineries, including Hope & Grace, Jessup Cellars, and Priest Ranch.

Work from the Heart of Wine Country

If your work can travel with you, give your routine a change of scenery. Settle into your room for morning calls, walk out for lunch, then return with something better than a cubicule.

North Block: A few quiet days in Yountville, with dinner to look forward to? Their North Block Experience makes a lovely midweek escape, with a $100 dining credit and late checkout when available.

And with late checkout, there’s no need to squeeze your morning calls and packing into the same hour. Keep working from your room (or by the pool… no one will judge you!) and head home a little later than anticipated.

Bardessono Hotel & Spa: A few morning meetings, a lunch break on your private patio, and a spa treatment once the laptop closes? That’s a workday we could get used to.

With a rooftop pool calling your name, too, the Third Night Complimentary offer gives you another day to fit it all in.

Hotel Yountville: Get some work done, then go for a stroll into town for lunch. You can fit a workout at the hotel gym or a dip in the pool before tackling the rest of your afternoon.

Their Stay More, Save More package offers 50% off your third night or a complimentary fourth night on eligible stays, giving you time to find your weekday rhythm here.

Coffee and... Pasty or Chocolate?

You don’t have to save every treat for the weekend!

The newly opened Christopher Elbow Chocolates in the V Marketplace! Not only do they have amazing coffee, but you can pair it with an artisan chocolate.

Which is your favorite? 75% dark chocolate? Salted Caramel? Hazelnut Praline? Elderflower Champagne? Raspberry Rosé? They have them all, ready for you.

You've also probably heard of the weekend line outside Bouchon Bakery... Midweek is your chance to catch it on the quiet side!

Walk over from your hotel, pick up coffee and one of their French pastries, one of their famous breakfast sandwiches, or a dessert for later. Then you can enjoy fully the morning you might otherwise have spent in line.

Let Your Car Rest.

For a stay centered in downtown Yountville, you can skip the rental car once you’ve arranged your arrival. Walk between restaurants, shops, and tasting rooms, with time to stop wherever catches your eye.

One of the nicest things about staying in Yountville is that you can walk everywhere. Take the little bridges, follow a path under the trees, and wander between coffee shops, tasting rooms, gardens, parks and dinner.

Exploring on two wheels requires a stop at Napa Valley Bike Tours. Rent bikes and have fun riding through the vineyards on the Napa Valley Vine Trail.

Guests at The Estate Yountville can also borrow electric bikes or use its car service (within five miles). Both are included among the resort-fee amenities.

And when your feet have had their share of sightseeing, call the free Yountville Bee. It offers on-demand rides around town, Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For a trip farther up or down the valley, Vine Transit’s Route 10 connects Yountville with Napa, St. Helena, and Calistoga.

Sips and Stops.

Now let's talk wine - the perfect mid-week tasting experience and how to make the most of it.

Stewart Cellars: Wine, cheese, charcuterie… Yep, that's a good Wednesday Plan!

Stewart’s Wine & Cheese Experience is only available Monday to Friday, with a dedicated wine educator guiding you through the pairings in the courtyard or Tasting Hall.

CHANDON: Get the bubbles ready! Available Monday & Thursday, the Weekday Wine Flight features winery-exclusive sparkling wines enjoyed on the terrace.

Designed as an ideal introduction to CHANDON for first-time visitors to Napa Valley and wine beginners alike, this flight requires no prior wine knowledge.

And if you live in Napa County, there’s a little extra incentive to sneak away midweek. The Napa Neighbor program from Napa Valley Vintners has more than 160 winery offer listings, including dozens with weekday perks.

Think two-for-one tastings, complimentary tours and experiences, and discounts on bottles you’ll want to bring home... What is there not to love?

Take a look at the individual offers, book ahead (where required), and enjoy what our County is known for.

Happy Midweek!

Cocktails and bites taste even better when they come with happy hour prices. And Yountville has your midweek plans all figured out!

Monday, bring your pup to Lucy at Bardessono for Yappy Hour, 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, we’re heading to North Block for their Happiest Hour, 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, you’ll find us at RO Restaurant & Lounge for happy hour, 4 to 6 p.m. And Thursday? Little Travelers, Big Plans

A midweek getaway doesn’t have to mean finding a babysitter. Start Wednesday with stories, songs, and puppets at Yountville Library, then unpack a picnic at Yountville Community Park, parents can enjoy a glass of wine (thanks to the Sip Yountville zone,) while the kids give the playground a proper inspection

Challenge each other to bocce at Veterans Memorial Park, or shoot a few hoops at Vineyard Park. Then comes the hard part: choosing a treat at Christopher Elbow Chocolates.

Check Parks & Recreation’s seasonal lineup before packing: there are school-break camps and activities like the fall Pumpkin Hunt, Holliday Artisan Faires, to work into your visit. Just check dates and registration details, and don’t fill every hour.

Make a little room for midweek.

Come for two nights, stretch it to three, or bring your laptop and save your time off for an afternoon you really want to enjoy. Book a couple of things you’re excited about, then leave yourself some room.

Friday will get here eventually. You might as well enjoy Tuesday.

All packages & offers are subject to availability, blackout dates, and individual terms. Taxes and hotel fees may be additional. Check weekday opening hours and reserve tastings and dining ahead.
